Does is ever feel like there are just to many damn social networks? At some point it feels like social networking is more like real work. I have accounts with at least 10 that I can think of right now. So when a big company like Apple release a new social network like Ping, it makes me reevaluate which I actually use and want to keep.
With that in mind Ping actually sounds like a good idea, you're able to more easily share the music you like and see what other people are listening to. But there are already service that do pretty similar things like Pandora, Last.fm and Blip.fm. Ping clearly has an advantage over those in that many people already have iTunes, so getting them to sign up is really easy.
At any rate it'll be interesting to see who's still standing in 5 years.
